Time Capsule Retreat – one of the most unique places you could stay in Malaysia which we thought were located way inside the jungle. But nope, the place is easy for you to reach once you arrived to a peaceful town called ‘Sungai Lembing’. All you gotta do is to use your Google Map or Waze by just typing down ‘Time Capsule Retreat’.
FYI, there are 3 types of room that you could choose to stay and the price is reasonable too.
White Cottage – A regular white decor room in a cottage with a private bathroom. Great for people with a tight budget and yet needs privacy. RM118 for maximum of 2 pax.
Capsule – By judging the name of this place, you might have figured out that this type of room is the main reason why people are here. With just a bed in a round concrete pipe accompany by a curtain to cover up the glass door, adventurous ones are very much welcome to stay the night in there. RM139 for maximum of 2 pax.
Parallel – If you walk further down, you may find few black containers that has been modified into half transparent glass and half container where you can stay inside them. The price is quiet steep which depends on the type of room that you’re staying. From RM298 to RM498 for maximum of 4 pax.
We choose to stay in Parallel Discovery mainly because it has the largest space compared to the other rooms. A private deck, outdoor jacuzzi, BBQ pit, private bathroom, own television inside the room, big windows overlooking a beautiful scenery, an aircond to keep cool when the heat strikes and 2 beds for your own comfort to those who wish to stay in a big group (4 pax to be precise).
This place is great for relaxation. Especially when you have your own jacuzzi to soak yourself in while listening to the music on your Spotify playlist that you have saved earlier in the car on the way there. No worries people, the network is not that bad, plus WIFI is provided so you could upload your Instagram pictures right away 😉 During the night, we took out all the food from the fridge and this is where the BBQ pit took place. We had chickens, some sausages with a little bit of carrots to fill up our tummy that night before we went to sleep.
Set my alarm clock early in the morning so that we wouldn’t miss doing as much activities that we could do since we only have one day left before we leave this place.
Bukit Panorama – Our first activity for that day. The place where we went hiking were not that far from where we stay but we still have to drive a car to get there. It was about 5AM when we hiked so the path to the top was very dark, thankfully the path wasn’t that complicated or dangerous, suitable for someone who is not that fit like me. Haha. When we reached on top, there were other people around just waiting patiently for the sunrise. But I was kinda disappointed with the view though. Not as pretty as I’ve seen on the Google image. But on the positive note, at least I have shred a few calories :p
Hanging Bridge – As we walked in the centre of the bridge,We could see from afar that there were other bridges as well with a river stream just under us. Pictures were taken and suddenly someone riding a motorcycle just ride towards the bridge as if it’s a normal thing to do. I guess this bridge connects people from the other side to someplace else.
Those were the only activities that I get to do. Which means I have missed out on places like Rainbow Waterfall and Tin Mines. But I have thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
