Fast forward to 2014 was when I first got addicted to staying at unique places like ‘Sekeping Serendah’. It was a last minute Birthday Getaway with my friends where we planned everything just a day before that. Luckily, we managed to book our rooms despite the last minute action. Now lets just enjoy the pictures before I get into details. BTW, most of the photo qualities are wayyy too ugly due to a not really high resolution camera but hey, the memories that I had there was amazing!
It took about 45 minutes from Wangsa Maju (where we live) to get there. When the caretaker (or housekeeper, maybe?) opened the gate for us, we would have never imagined that the property was that big and everything was so close to nature. I wish I took a lot of the surrounding photos back then. But no, all of us were to excited to take a proper photo -.- The check in process went smoothly. While we made our way to the room (which was located on top of the jungle), we took a detour around the place and managed to sneak into almost every rooms since it was on weekday so there were no other people other than us. It’s like the place was made available just for us. We rarely saw the caretaker too!
You could engage in a lot of fun filled activities to kill the time. So what we did was we spent the evening by taking a dip in the swimming pool (they have 2 swimming pools in total) and when the night arrived, we light up the ashes, took out the chickens, lambs and meats from the fridge that we have marinated the night before to prepare for a BBQ night at our porch and just enjoy talking to each other while eating our self cook dinner under the stars.
Waking up the next morning was a total bliss! We were greeted by an array of sunlight and the sound of nature. Before we head back to the city, we strolled around the area for one last time and went for a swim at the infinity pool which was located just up the hill.
Oh wait, did I mentioned that we made a stop over at Fraser’s Hill before heading back to KL? Yep, we did but we didn’t really do anything there other than having our English Hi-Tea like brit-ish (British) people. Then boom! Suddenly, we were back in the big city before we know it.
The room that we stayed was called ‘Glass Box 1 & Glass Box 2’ which costs us RM300 for each room. However, the price may be different on weekend. For more info, you can head over to Sekeping Serendah Retreat and plan your next trip pronto!
Note : The place may be different now as I have made this trip few years back.
