Today’s Habitat : 2017 Birthday Edition – Sebelas Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur Review

Wow I’ve abandoned my blog for quiet some time and now I feel like all my effort, energy, time and money spent to create my own blog has gone to waste. This time around, I have made a promise to myself that I will constantly update a new post for ya’ll to read. It’s not an excuse when I say that I got caught up in a lot of events over the past months. If you keep up with my blog long enough, you will know what I’m talking about.

So many overdue posts that I wanna share here but since my last blog post was about my 2016 birthday celebration, it didn’t feel right to not share where I celebrated this year’s birthday. So yes, this is exactly what I will pour out after a long longggg time of disappearing.

Every year, same faces but different places. Well, this time around I get to celebrate at a really cool place called Sebelas in Bangsar area which could be found in Airbnb. Let me get into details before splurging all the photos starting with the concept of the house. I am a sucker for unique places and this place really kick in the curb. It consists of 3-storey house with industrial design. When my then boyfriend (now my husband!! 😀 😀 ) wanted to surprise me by tying up my eyes and made me walk without knowing where I was, I really couldn’t tell that it’s a house that he brought me in. But I started to feel a bit weird when I had to leave my heels at some point. Haha. As I step on the stairs, I got really curious to know where I was until he untie me, and I saw a small cute cake with little decorations along with our fellow friends in a clean minimalist looking room.

As I walk around the house after exchanging laughter and cake eating, I went down to the ground floor to see that there was a  cozy living room, a kitchen with complete amenities and a workspace if you’re looking for one. On the second floor where I got my surprises from, there were 2 more rooms on the same floor and each room comes with a not so private bathroom (I will get back to that shortly). Now here comes the best section of the house which is the semi indoor pool on the third floor that attached to the stairs that leads up all the way to the rooftop. We could not wait until tomorrow that we secretly went inside the pool that same night with no intention of making loud noises but as expected, the caretaker told us that we had to leave the pool due to complaints from the neighbourhood (Sorry about that, neighbour :p ) not long after that. Well, that’s too bad but we had a great swimming session the morning after. Anyways, a changing room/toilet as well as washing machine for public use and a dining table facing towards the swimming pool where we had our breakfast in the morning were also on the same floor. Due to the not-so private bathroom that I told you earlier, one of my friends accidentally uncovered that the bathroom from our room could be seen from the third floor next to the dining area. I was a bit paranoid when I took a shower right after I found out about it. Haha. But above all that, the stay was an absolute joy especially when we get to conquer the place as there was no-one around except for the caretaker, of course.
